Celebrating a Milestone in Sustainability

Celebrating a Milestone in Sustainability

We are pleased to share the outstanding success of our recent engagements, where government and private sector players came together to learn how to advance sustainable standards, including Fairtrade, Organic, and Rainforest Alliance certifications. The government’s deliberate commitment to equipping and empowering its officials in this important area is a true victory for our coffee and honey communities. This achievement reflects our shared vision of building a future where sustainability and fair trade uplift farmers, protect the environment, and open doors to global markets. Our success has become a source of pride for many, and at Mount Elgon Coffee and Honey Cooperative, we are proud to be part of these remarkable achievements. Together, we continue to shape a legacy of excellence, responsibility, and opportunity. Join us in supporting sustainable coffee and honey. Explore our certified products and be part of the change. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Progreso Foundation (Progreso), Uganda Development Trust (UDET), United States African Development Foundation (USADF), European Union...

Mount Elgon Coffee and Honey Cooperative Showcases at World of Coffee Geneva 2025

We are proud to announce our participation at the World of Coffee Geneva 2025, one of the most prestigious global coffee events. The cooperative was selected by the International Trade Centre (ITC) to exhibit its specialty coffees, representing Uganda on an international stage. This opportunity is made possible through the support of the MARKUP II project, funded by the European Union (EU). MARKUP II is designed to strengthen market access and competitiveness for smallholder farmers, cooperatives, and agro-based SMEs in East Africa. As a cooperative rooted in the fertile slopes of Mount Elgon, we are honored to share our unique, high-quality Arabica coffee with global buyers, roasters, and coffee enthusiasts. This milestone highlights not only the hard work of our member farmers but also the growing international recognition of Ugandan specialty coffee. Stay tuned as we share updates and highlights from Geneva!...
